Ezra Schwartz Memorial FIT 5K Run to Support Israel on Campus
Beginning this year, our Annual FIT 5K will honor the memory of Ezra Schwartz who was murdered by terrorists in Israel. Ezra was accepted to the Rutgers class of 2020. This memorial dedication will continue in perpetuity. The Ezra Schwartz Memorial FIT 5K run/walk, 1 mile fun run/walk and Israel Festival will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2017.
The event will raise funds for the Rutgers Hillel Center for Israel Engagement (RHCIE) — The first permanent pro-Israel center at any Hillel in America. RHCIE is a model of excellence in Israel engagement, education, and advocacy on campus, and is driven by a core belief that a positive connection to Israel is essential for a strong, healthy Jewish identity.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Buccleuch Park in New Brunswick, NJ. Race registration starts at 8:30 am, with the Ezra Schwartz Memorial FIT 5K starting at 10 am.
